WorkSafe USA, Inc., based in Springfield, Illinois, has been supplying the Dump-Lok® dump truck bed safety device system since 2008. Its unique and patented design (U.S. Patent 6905174) is the only one of its kind to be offered to the heavy duty truck repair industry. They currently have available three sizes of Dump-Loks which can cover a broad spectrum of dump trucks and trailers. The DL-105WT is the most popular size and fits up to a 4 7/16” truck frame. The pivoting wide top (WT) will fit up to a 5 ½” dump box frame. Also available is the pivoting flat top (FT) that has no side flanges and was primarily designed for offset frame dump trailers. The (FT) flat top can be used in more applications than the (WT) wide top making it a truly universal fit. The DL-106WT Dump-Lok will fit large truck and roll-off frames up to 6-inches wide. The DL-109FT Dump-Lok is the newest model and is specifically designed for large haul trucks used in the mining and quarry industries. They will fit up to a 9-inch haul truck frame and utilize a forklift slot for easy installation. The DL-109FT Dump-Lok is available only in the flat top configuration. All Dump-Lok sizes have safety chains to further secure it on the truck to prevent movement. The special keyslot also allows the use of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
