Pumps Built on True Application Testing
Crowds gathered at the GIW booth at the last MinExpo, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, to see the replica of a pipeline slurry loop in action. Designed by the GIW engineering team, the loop helps customers understand the dynamics of slurry pumping systems. The booth demonstration simulated a typical mill cyclone feed application and was driven with an impressive clear casing pump. GIW sales managers narrated the show while the pumping flows of water and colored particles kept the attendees’ rapt attention.

Rock-Solid Solutions
Recently, GIW introduced its new Mill Duty Xtra Heavy (MDX) slurry pump. The MDX is GIW’s newest strategically developed product to satisfy customer demand in the hard rock industry. Developed to increase productivity and decrease costs, all MDX pumps are designed to match the life cycle of mill circuit operations. GIW uses system modeling tools to identify the duty conditions and to select the best solution for each pumping application.
